We’re seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to work in our downtown Minneapolis corporate office. In this fast-paced position, you will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in our business units. You will serve as a consultant to management on HR related issues. This position provides day to day performance management guidance through coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary actions, working with managers in finding solutions for issues and implementing strategies for long-term resolution. In-depth knowledge of legal requirements is necessary to reduce legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance as well as the ability to effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities. Working knowledge of FLSA compliance and the ability to develop and revise job descriptions as needed.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 - 10 years of related human resources experience in a fast-paced environment and have a working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including compensation practices, employee relations, diversity, performance management, training, and federal, state and local employment laws. We are looking for someone that can manage conflict through strong interpersonal and negotiation skills while effectively communicating with employees at all levels and manage multiple conflicting priorities.
