BridgeTower Media’s two niche titles in the Rochester market – The Rochester Business Journal and The Daily Record, are seeking an event and marketing coordinator. This position will be responsible for assisting with the planning, execution, and growth of multi-industry business and legal events in the Greater Rochester Area with attendance varying from 30-1,000 attendees. Duties include: guest registration, ticket sales, print and digital marketing efforts, telemarketing and email marketing as well as sponsor and attendee contact before, during and after the event. This person is also responsible for assisting with marketing initiatives to grow subscriptions and brand awareness.
The ideal candidate must have a college degree and experience in events, sales or customer service. Excellent written, customer service and telemarketing skills are essential. The position will be part of a fast paced environment with multiple daily deadlines and various projects running concurrently. The candidate must have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn are all musts.
An exceptional candidate will have a degree in marketing, communications or journalism. Proven experience with social media marketing and advertising, email marketing and timeline management preferred, but not required.
